Maybe someone will think…

“The Russian man is good only because he cannot stand himself,” declares I. S. Turgenev through the mouth of the medical student Nihilist Bazarov. Kind of

like Bazarov, and through him to Ivan Sergeyevich himself, this Russian man is not a brother or even a relative, but simply a specimen accidentally known to Mr. Bazarov and Turgenev. About arrogance later, but for now we will recognize the truth of this revelation. A Russian person is always dissatisfied with the fruits of his activity, his way of life, his way of life. He, this man, simply gave up on himself – they say, we are good-for-nothing wretches.

Anguish and suffering, the sweetest state of the Russian soul – whining and lamenting for the people ruined by evil fate – betray the complainers and the crybaby out as truly Russian people. To sigh, to be tortured and… do nothing.

The intellectual elite, I don’t know voluntarily or not, exalts the Russian people in a negative way, as if with a minus sign – if we can’t be the highest, then we will be the lowest. At least some, but to be the most, the most! Remember:

“This power is given to them by rot…”

Passing judgment on the hopeless depravity of the Russian people, the proud somehow forget about their belonging to this people. We, so enlightened, free-thinking, thoroughly imbued with the spirit of Western civilization with disgust, or maybe with pleasure?, expose the stupid slavish essence of the Russian people. Especially delightful is the appeal to history, to all these Ivans, Peters, Nicholas, Lenins, Stalins, who turned Russians into weak-willed brutes. True, of course, but where were your ancestors, great-grandfathers, grandfathers, yourself? Why did they allow the Lord of Novgorod the Great to be strangled, why did they not give Anna Ioannovna a slap on the hands, did they stand senselessly on the Senate Square, allowed the Constituent Assembly to be dispersed, lost the courage of August 1991? Now get – Mariupol and Bucha, torture and murder, Russia in a shroud of abomination and malice.

As for the masses of the people, they are about the same everywhere – where they lead, there they go. However, there is no hunting for the masses anywhere, they will sit gloomily, even roasted.

And this people are not “masses” – they are a collection of people, envious, hostile to each other. Gogol’s fairy tale about a special, Russian comradeship has nothing to do with the truth. Russian friendship is a boorish intrusion into the soul of a friend, into his affairs and thoughts – amicoshonism, I tried to find a Russian word, but failed. Because this behavior is mutual, then no one sees any trouble here. Hence the legend about the unprecedented strength of the Spyka, before the sacrifice, of Russian friendship.

Oh, the truly Russian virtues glorified, exalted: sacrifice, kindness, generosity!

Liberal vs. authoritarian world? No, globalism is against the state. The era of the nation-state, the empire is passing. What is coming to replace, what will be the new form(s) of organization of society?

The first harbingers of new forms: the absence of borders, uncontrolled migration, extreme individualism, left-wing radicalism, paralysis of the will of the authorities, and much more, are clearly unsuccessful. In addition, they arouse right-wing radicalism and a craving for authoritarianism and even totalitarianism. However, these are only tentative steps into the unknown, only the very beginning of the transition period. How long it will last, and how hard, how cruel it will be, will be known only to the Lord God.
